CAPE FOX AWARDS 2017

Conservation at Work held the 2017 Cape Fox Awards during the Symposium event on the evening of 13 November 2017 . The evening was celebrated at the Graham & Rhona Beck Skills Centre, On The Graham Beck Wine Estate, Robertson. We would like to thank our Funders for sponsering the event as many frienships and lifelong partnerships was formed during the evening, sharing a flavourful, delectable meal. Thanks and appreciation was given to those who work extreamly hard to preserve our natural habitat and it resources, and live their passion. Although everyones effort does count equally we awaded excelence among our members as follows:

The Cape Fox Gold Award were awarded to Groenlandberg Conservancy & Fransmanshoek Conservancy representing the Central & Boland Region and Eastern Region respectively.

River Restoration Day

The Western Cape region faced quite a year in 2023, with extreme weather events leaving a lasting impact. Among the areas hit was the Botriver region in the Overberg. The river’s relentless force eroded its banks, wreaking havoc on infrastructure, croplands, riverbanks and triggering landslides along the hillsides. These natural events pose significant challenges for local communities, leaving landowners grappling with the aftermath and seeking assistance.
